Why do we visit a bar? What do we hope to encounter, experience, feel? It’s hard to put a finger on it but some of the things are wanting to feel good, having fun, socialize, maybe even meet someone new and definitely have a break from our day-to-day life. We at Hunky Dory Bar have put a lot of thought into how we would like to be treated if we were guests at our bar. And this is exactly how we will treat you. With attentive service, an eye for details lots of love and humor.
The same attention goes into our cocktails. We change our menu regularly keeping it fresh and exciting for you as well as for us. We love playing around with different textures, flavors and techniques so be ready for surprises. If you are more into classic drinks don’t hesitate to ask. Did you know that you can do so with our retro telephones which you can find on each table? They are fully functioning and ready to call either our staff or some wonderful person you might have spotted on the other side or the bar.
Our interior is classy yet full of curiosities. Armin, our prince of flea markets, as we tend to call him, has the most amazing eye an ability to find wonderful vintage items. The décor of Hunky Dory is a delightful collection of nostalgic elements of a bygone era. May it be an old poster ad of some beverage, a Mexican sombrero or even an analog pinball machine be sure to visit with an open eye.
